SAFE promotes and encourages fair and verifiable elections, campaign finance reform and media reform.

We educate the public as to steps needed to attain these outcomes, and encourage citizen participation.

We sponsor and support petition drives and other citizen initiatives to achieve these ends:

• study issues and share information

• connect the dots between the issues of our day

• offer speakers and forums

• coordinate rallies

• partner with other groups

• work to expand the base of active voters

• challenge people to think beyond sound bites

• write to newspapers, call in to radio stations

• lobby our legislators

• spur citizens to participate, speak out, and VOTE
